Real Madrid produced a statement performance in their La Liga meeting with Sevilla, and 19-year-old Yan Diomande stood out in the 4-1 win.
Diomande's performance in the game prompted a comparison with his teammate Vinicius Junior from manager Jose Mourinho.
The Cote d'Ivoire international has impressed in recent games, recording five goal contributions in his last four starts for the club.
'Reminds me of a young Vinicius': Mourinho makes Diomande claim
Real Madrid manager Mourinho watched teenage star Diomande torment the Sevilla backline at the Bernabeu on Sunday evening.
After the game, the name of the youngster came up in Mourinho's press conference, and the manager pointed out that there are things he needs to work on in his game, particularly his finishing.
He likened Diomande to when a teenage Vinicius Junior joined Los Blancos from Flamengo, urging him to relax more and not rush his actions.
“Yan Diomande? He has a lot to work on, and he has many things he needs to improve. He need to work on his finishing.
He gets to a lot of dangerous positions, but he needs to learn to relax more and make a better decision in the last touch. He reminds me of young Vinicius," he said.
Mourinho has previously praised Diomande for his humble nature since he joined the club in a club-record move in the summer.
Diomande dazzles as Real Madrid claim crucial win
Having been substituted early in the second half in the UEFA Champions League game in Rome, Yan Diomande had a point to prove against Sevilla back at the Bernabeu.
He started in the absence of Vinicius Junior, who is serving a four-game suspension for his red card and subsequent reaction last week.
Diomande provided the assist for Kylian Mbappe to make it 2-0, fizzing a pass towards the box through the legs of Jude Bellingham and into the feet of the Frenchman, who showed great footwork before slotting home.
The Ivorian played a through ball for Mbappe to latch onto in the second half, and the striker won the penalty which he converted for his side's third goal.
Having essentially set up two goals, Diomande took matters into his own hands as he scored in a second successive La Liga game, rifling an effort into the top corner from the edge of the box.
He became the first teenager to score and assist in the same La Liga game for Real Madrid in the 21st century.
